Nature of saturn

I think, we need to understand the true nature of the planets before trying to find answers about their placements. While trying to understand the true nature of the planets, we can also get some hints from the mythology wherein through stories the seers have tried to explain the concepts.

The story with Saturn is that wife of sun was not able to tolerate it's brightness and therefore placed her proxy chaya and went for short break. Saturn is the son of sun and chaya and is quite opposite to sun in nature. Sun symbolises cosmic energy in mythology. The nature of cosmic energy is oneness. Saturn is quite opposite and therefore indicates expansion. It's like sun trying to maintain oneness of universe and Saturn creating big bang and expansion. Nature of sun in oneness and therefore it attracts. That's the reason that Leo ascendent persons are quite attractive and authoritative. They like everything to go their way and are generally authoritative. Saturn by nature is ever expanding. Saturn ascendent persons are even challenging the conventional values and quite rebellious. They are generally aloof.

Now comes the issue of placement. Any person will behave as per it's nature in any body's house. So Saturn well always challenge the stability in any house. Then it depends on the rulership of Saturn. If it's rulership is 1st out 4th,5th,9th,10th then it will challenge the existing stability of the house where it is placed or having aspect for a desired reason else for undesired reason.

The outcome also depends upon the capacity of the house where Saturn is placed to get challenged. Generally Venus has best capacity to absorb such challenge. Thus the placement of Saturn in Libra or Taurus may not have very disturbing outcomes. While in Gemini or Virgo may be.

So one has to dive deep in to nature of planets to understand the hidden meaning of the planets and their placements.
